Hillside news #1/111: Water edition – ice swimming time for ski jumpers and a ferry trip for Adam Małysz

The second ski jumping weekend of the season is fast approaching. This time, our ski jumping heroes will get a taste of the winter wonderland that is Ruka, Finland. But first, let’s check what they’ve been up to during the past week.

 

Ice swimming in Russia

A lot of us associate Nizhny Tagil with the famous swimming pool where the water is on the cool side… to say the least. This year, some of the ski jumpers have yet again decided to brave the elements and try some ice swimming. The tough guys included the Swiss, Austrian and Polish jumpers.
